Mike Mitchell, a 25 year veteran in the Telecommunications Industry, has held leadership, management, technical support, and customer service positions for end users as well as interconnect companies. For the past 16 years he has served as the Manager of Telecommunications for DeKalb Regional Healthcare System and managed the Office Services and Telecommunications Department for The Atlanta Casualty Companies in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mike has always had a passion for excellence in interpersonal communication and customer service. He incorporated his passion into all his classes during the three years he taught telecommunication courses at Gwinnett Technical College to help his students elevate their level of service skills.
He has presented over 50 customer service and communications skills classes and has delivered over 725 hours of classroom and platform training to more than 2000 adult students in groups with 10 to 200 participants including senior leadership as well as new company employees. He also has had over 70 articles published since 2005 on topics including communication skills, customer service, personal improvement, management and technology in Vericom HealthLink Telecom and CrossTech Connect monthly internet newsletters.
Mike has earned the Certified Telecommunications Professional designation from the Telecommunications Association of Business and Industry, Inc. and is a past President of the Telecommunications Council of Volunteer Hospital Association of Georgia. He has also served as a member of the Advisory Board and Adjunct Faculty Instructor for the Telecommunications Department of Gwinnett Technical College.
